Inclement Weather Communication Plan

As we face colder temperatures and forecasts with occasional precipitation, the possibility increases for the delay or closing of school. During the winter months Transportation Director Mike McCloud and Superintendent Joe Tinius keep a close watch on the weather. If there is a possibility for snow or ice, they spend late evening and early morning hours checking road conditions, listening to forecasts, and communicating with surrounding districts. Their cooperative efforts determine if the roads are safe for our students and employees. If the decision is made to delay or close school, our district will make every effort to notify parents, guardians, employees and the community as soon as possible.
