BGJHS Mission Statement

BGJHS Mission Statement: At BGJHS, all students are empowered to become respectful and responsible 21st century learners and leaders.

8th Grade Freshman Orientation Dates
Due to the snow days last week, the BGHS Open House/Freshman Orientation for Parents originally scheduled for this evening (February 24th)  has been postponed to Thursday, March 5th from 6pm-8pm in the BGHS Theater.
Other important dates:
March 5th - BGHS Counselors will come to BGJHS during 3rd and 4th periods to speak to 8th grade students regarding elective classes and career pathways.
March 18th and March 20th - 8th graders go to BGHS to register.  Students will know which day they are assigned to register as we get closer to the dates.  Parents are welcome to attend the registration portion of the day and meet with the BGHS Guidance Counselors.

BGISD Non-Resident Application

The Bowling Green Independent School District (“BGISD”) and the Warren County School District (“WCSD”) approved a 15-year nonresident student agreement in December 2014, which will remain in effect until June 30, 2030.

Shrek-The Musical

Make plans now to attend this year’s school musical, Shrek, The Musical!  February 27th and 28th at 7:00 p.m. and March 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the BGJHS Auditorium.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for students and will be sold at the door.


You do not want to miss this family-friendly show full of BGJHS’s finest actors, actresses, and stage crew!


Yearbook Pre-Orders

It's time to pre-order your 2014-15 yearbook!  Yearbooks are $35.00 and checks can be made payable to BGJHS and should be turned in to:

Grade Level Emails

Grade Level emails are a great way to stay informed about what is going on in your child's classes.  If you would like to sign up to receive these emails every Monday, please email the appropriate grade level leader:  6th Grade-Sarah Rucker, 7th Grade-Karrie Jackson, 8th Grade-Melissa Joiner.   Links to the weekly emails will be posted below during the school year.

Mid-Term Progress Reports

Beginning with this quarter, we will no longer be printing and sending home mid-term reports with students each quarter.  We encourage all parents/guardians to check Infinite Campus throughout each quarter for grades, missing assignments, attendance, etc.

Attention Parents:  Infinite Campus Parent Portal is a GREAT way to keep up with your child’s progress in school.  You can check grades anytime, see when assignments are due, and check attendance.

School Computer Lab Hours Extended

School computer labs are open afternoons and evenings for Bowling Green students wishing to complete school work or projects. Students may visit any school lab (not only their home school) and log in using a student username and password. The District's Acceptable Use Policy applies. Primary students must be accompanied by an adult.
