MORNING MATH CLUB

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!!
New New New
In addition to teaching math this year, I am also teaching a Reading class and two Science classes. Most of our Reading and Science will be done in class with little homework outside the school day. However, you can anticipate math homework most every night. See below for how our "Math Week" will look.
IXL UPDATED THEIR STUDENT PAGE JUST A BIT. STUDENTS SHOULD SELECT THE 'STANDARDS' LINK TO LOCATE ASSIGNED WORK. (It was 'Common Core' last year.)
A Preview of how our math week is outlined. Take a look below.
Your attention please!
Multiplication Fact Quizzes every Friday beginning August 11th, 2017!! These grades will be recorded in my gradebook until students are fluent! Students MUST PRACTICE THEIR FACTS DAILY TO BECOME FLUENT. Go ahead and get started. :-)

Please try to have your student here to take advantage of these offerings. It will make a world of difference!!
IXL...our way to sharpen our math skills and accomplish our
Goals in Math!
Ask your student to use the link below to log on and show you around.
Have your student log on to IXL. To view their current progress,
click on Analytics (top and center). Once there, you will have the choice of viewing "Usage, Trouble Spots, Question Log and Progress." You can view any day, week or month that you would like allowing you to see trends and progress
over spans of time. Remember, I require a minimum of 80% on each learning target (skill). The "Progress Tab" under Analytics will probably be the most helpful to you. The learning targets (skills) that have been assigned are listed and the score for each will show up on the far right. This score should be 80% or higher. Homework is not considered complete until at least an 80% is recorded. Also remember, assignments are given on Monday mornings and due 7 DAYS later... the next Monday. All assignments that are cureent, or even past due, can be found on your student's grade level tab. Past assignments can be found under "Archived" assignments.
Your students are excelling! (I-X-L ing!)
By the way, what does this
have to do with MATH? Don't get CHOPPED!
Now, ask your student what we do.
Do our word problems make you do this (see pugs below)?
Students and Parents,
When checking assignments online, don't forget to check and see if a video link has been added to further assist you with homework.
