I am excited to be a new member of Purples Nation this year! 2016 is my first year as a Purple and as a Guidance Counselor. I am coming from Russellville High School where I served as the AP U.S. History, U.S. History, and Global Studies teacher for the past five years. I am originally from a small one-stoplight town in western Kentucky, Lewisport, where I graduted from Hancock County High School in 2005. I received my Bachelors degree at Western Kentucky University in 2009 where I double majored in Social Studies and History. I had the honor of completing my student teaching here at BGHS under the fabulous Mr. Allen White where I learned the secret to teaching, caring! When entering the field of education I always had the goal of one day becoming a guidance counselor, so I began my studies at Morehead State Univeristy and graduated with my Masters in Counseling in May 2016.
