I feel privileged to work with students who are learning English as a second language! I am excited to be here at TCC!
It is my passion to help students quickly learn academic English so they can be successful in their classes and throughout life. I value and encourage my students to continue speaking, reading, and writing in their first language (Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.) while they work on English at school. It is SO valuable to know two or more languages!
I received my BS in Elementary Education from Wright State University and my MA of Education degree from Western Kentucky University. I am certified to teach ESL students and have my ESL Endorsement from WKU. I have 14 years teaching experience.
In addition to teaching, I also enjoy spending time with my husband and my 3 children. During my free time, I like to read books, hike, watch soccer games, and volunteer.
I have provided valuable resources and links to help English language learners, their families, and teachers. All are welcome here.

My Classroom Mission
I will try my best to effectively teach ALL my ELL students to speak, read, write, and listen in English so they can fully function in their academic classes.
