This is my 29th year teaching at Bowling Green High School. I began my teaching career in the Bowling Green Independent School System in the fall of 1987 after graduating from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Elementary Education and Exceptional Child Education. I have taught English, math, biology, and even a couple years of family and consumer science. For the past 10 years, my focus has been in mathematics, an area I used to try to avoid but truly love teaching today. I have spent the last several years as the math collaboration teacher.
While I did not graduate from Bowling Green High School, I did marry a Purple. We have three children--two girls who are both graduates of Bowling Green High School and a son who is a 6th grader at Bowling Green Junior High. My oldest daughter began her teaching career this year as a 2nd grade teacher at Parker Bennett Curry, so the tradition continues.
