All About Mrs.Duncan

Hello and welcome to our class web page!

My name is Dana Duncan, and I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I am beginning my 23nd year as a teacher. In 1995, I graduated from Berea College with a degree in Elementary Education and a Middle School Endorsement for Grades 5-8. During my first year of teaching, I realized that I loved to teach reading and needed to learn more; therefore, I obtained a Reading Specialist Degree from Western Kentucky University in 1999. In 2004, I received my National Certification for Middle Childhood Generalist.  I want your children never to lose their sense of wonder. In 2014, I renewed my National Certifiation and became a stronger teacher in the process.

I am married and have two children. Alec is in eighth grade at BGJH, and my daughter Avery is a fifth grader in Mrs. Wilder's class. In our spare time, my family likes to camp and hike. I am also trying to learn how to knit. I also enjoying reading as much as possible. I keep learning as a teacher and trying new ways to enrich students' learning.

If you have any concerns, worries, or questions, please contact me. My email is dana.duncan@bgreen.kyschools.us
Thank you for all you do to make your child's learning experience worthwhile.
