High School points are earned for school-level awards and recognition from the time school starts in 9th grade until the banquet of your senior year.   Any service or tournament points you earn after the banquet your senior year will not change your varsity letter status, degree pin status, or school-level awards which will take place once a year at the banquet.

High school points for national-level awards and recognition continue until after the national NSDA tournament following your senior year.

Tournament points for competitions are entered automatically by the coaches based on your rankings in each round of competition.

Service points must be submitted on the official NSDA Service Points Form

Submit on paper or electronically to janet.martin@bgreen.kyschools.us

Varsity Letters
Varsity letters are awarded to team members in good standing who earn 400 or more points.  A minimum of 200 of those points must be earned during competition.

This number is subject to review on an annual basis to determine that it is in line with the degree of difficulty and distinction as varsity letters awarded to other academic and athletic teams at BGHS.
