BGISD Foundation Provides Funding for New Engaging Technology
Bowling Green Independent Schools strive each day to build on a tradition of excellence and lead the way in education for all. However, excellence and innovation do not occur without a great amount of effort and support from many stakeholders. One group founded to support BGISD academically and financially is the BGISD Foundation, Inc. The purpose of this non-profit organization is to build on the network of “Purple Pride.” It is not tied to a specific school or booster organization, but the entire school district.
One way the Foundation has supports the school district this year is through a new technology initiative, TEaCH 2 Engage. TEaCH 2 Engage encourages teachers to develop their own ideas and create non-traditional classrooms that utilize technology and enhance student engagement. The projects funded become model classrooms to evaluate technology integration and return on investment.
Projects like TEaCH 2 Engage do not occur without support from alumni and friends. If you would like to contribute to the BGISD Foundation, Inc. please consider donating by using the PayPal Donation button to the left or by sending a check payable to the BGISD Foundation, Inc. at 1211 Center Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101.
