BGHS Students Receive 35 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Sixteen Bowling Green High School students are recipients of Scholastic Art and Writing Awards presented by SKyPAC and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The results are the best in school history.

SKyPAC, the south central Kentucky regional affiliate of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, opened an exhibit on January 14, 2019, including all Gold and Silver Key pieces of visual art, with honorable mention visual art in the digital gallery, and all writing pieces in the SKyPAC reading room exhibit. Supporting sponsors include Service One Credit Union and the Kentucky Arts Council.   

A closing reception and awards ceremony will be held Saturday, February 23rd at 12:30 p.m.

All gold key recipients as well as American Visions and American Voices nominees will be considered for national awards which will be announced March 13th. American Visions nominees include BGHS Sophomore Emma Simpson.  American Voices nominees include BGHS Senior Christian Butterfield.
