2016-17 Public School Assessment Results Available

The Kentucky Department of Education has released assessment and accountability data from the 2016-17 school year through school and district report cards, located at http://applications.education.ky.gov/SRC/. Individual student results will be shared with parents & guardians after fall break.

The 2016-17 school year is a transition year for state assessment and accountability. Kentucky public school systems are moving from the requirements by the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) to the new Every Student Succeeds Act of 2016 (ESSA) and Kentucky’s Senate Bill 1 of 2017. Therefore, the current results do not include overall scores, rankings, or labels for schools or districts.

The following is a summary of achievement data for Bowling Green Independent Schools. More detailed information, including additional reported components of Gap, Growth, College & Career Readiness and Graduation Rate are available on the Bowling Green Independent School District and individual school report cards.

OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT SCORES BY SCHOOL: Achievement reports student performance in the content areas of reading, mathematics, social studies and writing (on-demand and language—editing and mechanics). A formula awards points based on the student performance levels of Novice, Apprentice, Proficient and Distinguished (NAPD).
