Innovation Headquarters or iHQ begins in Bowling Green City Schools on Friday, August 25th. iHQ brings together 5th grade students identified as gifted and talented from all five of the Bowling Green elementary schools. The group of approximately 60 students will be transported two school days per month to the district’s Professional Development and Learning Center, located at 503 Old Morgantown Road. Four classrooms and the former media center of the building have been converted to creative learning spaces, named the Garage, Workshop, Studio, Think Tank, and Hangar. The students will spend iHQ days learning a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math curriculum, led by Gifted & Talented Teacher, Keely P’Pool and the district’s five instructional coaches. As the tagline of the program states, iHQ is where gifted minds explore. For more information on iHQ, contact Jennifer Davis, Director of Instructional Programs or follow on Twitter: @BGiHQ.
