ELPO Law Begins Legal Diversity Pipeline Project 2019-20

BGHS is beginning the third year with the ELPO Legal Diversity Pipeline project. This year’s group includes freshmen, sophomores, and juniors that are interested in the legal profession. The group met with attorney Rebecca Simpson, the organizer of the program on Thursday, October 3. The Legal Diversity Pipeline is intended to help mentor students, and has a particular focus on underrepresented populations.

ReadyCon: Learn About Transitioning Out of High School

ReadyCon is a one-stop-shop for information about transitioning from high school to post-secondary life. This conference will cover a variety of topics in both round-table, and classroom presentation style sessions. It will be held Saturday, October 19, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, and open to all Warren County and Bowling Green high school students and parents. The opening session will be in the BGHS Theater at 9:00 and the first session begins at 9:30. Child care will be available for 3-8 year old children.


Spirit Week Planned for October 14 - 18

Students return from Fall Break on October 14th to celebrate Purple Spirit Week in all schools! Each day of the week has a theme, and students, faculty and staff are invited to dress in theme-day apparel. The week will end with the BGHS Homecoming Football game on Friday, October 18th vs. Christian County. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at El Donaldson Stadium.

BGHS Announces Hall of Honor Class of 2019

The Bowling Green Independent School District Foundation is proud to announce four 2019 inductees to the Bowling Green High School Hall of Honor: Patricia Moore Howard, Class of 1955; Rick Williams, Class of 1972; Jason Frakes, Class of 1991; and Akisha Townsend Eaton, Class of 1999. These individuals will be recognized at BGHS Homecoming on Friday, October 18, 2019. Honorees, family, friends, and fellow alumni are invited to the BGISD Foundation, Inc. Tailgate beginning at 6:00 p.m. at El Donaldson Stadium. Honorees will also be introduced on the field during the BGHS Football game vs. Christian County with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
